Who can become a VDI?

Is it possible to combine my main activity with VDI?

You can combine your VDI status with your main job, since door-to-door sales can be used to supplement your income.

However, VDI status is incompatible with certain jobs:

• Lawyer
• Public and ministerial officer
• Court-appointed administrators and agents
• Auditor, auctioneer and chartered accountant
• Architect
• Surveyors

If you are a civil servant, you are in a special situation. Under certain conditions, you can work as a VDI alongside your main activity.

What conditions must I meet to become a VDI seller?

There are few conditions to be met to become a VDI. However, there are some requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must never have been convicted of a criminal offence
• You must not be on an Employment Solidarity Contract
• Not to be receiving early retirement benefits
• You must not be personally bankrupt
• Not be subject to a management ban
