Earn extra income
How do you supplement your income from home?
12 FEBRUARY 2020
Do you want to earn extra money to go on the holiday of your dreams, make ends meet or spoil your nearest and dearest? You can combine a home-based business with your permanent or fixed-term contract.
Home-based selling is ideal for people who want to earn extra money from home. You can stay at home, work your own hours and sell products or services related to your hobbies.
Supplementing your income: compatible with a salaried job?
Before you take the plunge, it's worth looking into the question of compatibility between your job and VDI status.
Most professions can be combined with a home sales activity, but some statuses, such as lawyer or architect, do not allow you to do so.
We touched on this subject in a previous article.
Supplement your income by turning your passion into a profession
Our second tip for supplementing your income from home is to choose a brand that shares your values and offersproducts and/or services that really interest you.
Do you love fashion? Then become a home-based fashion consultant! Are you very interested in sustainable development and eco-responsible products? Choose a brand that offers a responsible collection!
Find out about the brands that appeal to you, do some market research on the Internet and look at the VDI statutes on offer. Find out more about the VDI statuses available.
Working from home and earning extra: a question of organisation
Combining additional income with your day job may seem difficult. Don't limit yourself to this thought. It's all a question of organisation and planning.
Set yourself consistent work periods. Don't tell yourself that you can devote yourself to home selling at 6pm if you finish at 5.30pm and you have children. Favour quiet times when you can take the time to do things properly.
If you opt for home selling clothes, weekends are a good idea because you'll have time to prepare everything without stress and your customers will be more available.
Keep the evenings quieter for planning your future sales and keeping in touch with your customers.
