Fashion trends for spring 2021
20 JANUARY 2021
2021 is just around the corner, but we're already looking ahead to our spring outfits. For the new season, the trend is towards the nineties, with pop colours and comfortable pieces.
The designers have obviously been inspired by the current mood, and have come up with some loungewear that's right up our street. But that doesn't mean your looks won't be stylish! We explain everything in our article. We take a closer look at the must-have pieces for your spring 2021 wardrobe.
The denim total look back on the catwalk
This season sees the return of the total denim look, the emblem of the nineties! Fashionistas, you can't afford to miss out on this trend.
To avoid any false notes, adopt a casual total denim look. Take straight or flare jeans, for example, paired with a flowing denim shirt and a loose denim jacket. Worried about the colour block effect? Go for trendy accessories to dress up and liven up your 100% denim outfit! A neon pink handbag or gold jewellery: don't be afraid to experiment with pop colours, which are very much in vogue this spring.
Marinière makes a splash
Spring is the perfect time to get your favourite sailor suit out of the wardrobe! The iconic striped top has never been as trendy as it is this season. It can be worn for all occasions and easily combined with the other pieces in your wardrobe.
A marinière looks great with raw or destroy jeans, as well as short or long skirts. In cooler weather, wear it with a beige trench coat, denim jacket or blazer for a more structured silhouette. You can't go wrong with these timeless combinations, and they're sure to be a hit with everyone!
Dare to wear suits for the return of fine weather!
One of the big trends for spring 2021 is suits. But not just any suits... we're opting for flowing, comfortable suits. Who says you can't be chic with comfortable clothes?
Suits are easier to wear than you might think, especially when they're made from soft materials. You can easily imagine wearing a pair of trousers and a blazer with a white T-shirt with a message and your favourite pair of trainers. If you want to follow the trend 100%, opt for brightly coloured suits or floral patterns - you'll be a hit!
Floral patterns at the heart of your spring wardrobe
Do you love floral patterns? Then you're in for a treat. Flowers are invading the spring wardrobes of every fashionista, and it's safe to say that they're totally in season!
Floral patterns will look great on everything in your collection: dresses, blouses, cheeks and even floral trousers... you can dare anything. Floral patterns have the advantage of sublimating all body shapes, can be worn for any occasion and can be combined with all your fashion basics. What's more, they add a romantic touch to any outfit, which we love.
Slim-fits take centre stage
Curvy cuts are making a name for themselves on the catwalks! Light, flowing fabrics are the trend, but there's no question of leaving style behind. You can enhance your silhouette with accessories or more slim-fitting pieces.
If you had to choose just one must-have piece from your spring wardrobe, we'd definitely recommend the trench coat. Perfect for coping with light rain and cold mornings, it adds structure and a chic edge to all your looks. A wide belt is the ideal accessory for marking your waist. Over a suit jacket or dress, it's very much in vogue this season.
